The One Nation Armed Forces are the combined military forces responsible for maintaining the sovereignty of One Nation Under Jou. In addition to their primary role of defending the nation's territory and people, these military forces also support intergalactic peacekeeping operations and provide humanitarian aid. The two primary service branches are the One Nation Navy and the Planetary Guard Legions. The naval service can trace continuous lineage of ships and personnel to Year 14 when Morobe's first interstellar fleet was established as part of Sienar Fleet Systems. The Guard Legions were established in Year 21 by the unification of Morobian and Vorsia Companion's military forces.

History

As with the nation itself, the armed forces trace their history to the founding companies and individuals from Morobe and Vorsia Companion that formed One Nation Under Jou.

One Nation Navy is the senior service with continuous lineage to the first security forces responsible for discovering and securing the Morobe system in Year 14. The fleet that provided the initial security in the system was formally structured into a naval force by Grand Admiral Gredek Dregoth during the establishment of Sienar Fleet Systems and later the Permanent Solutions paramilitary group. The naval structure was created by former officers of the Imperial Navy and this heritage shaped the Navy's doctrines. Those doctrines were later adapted by the Tion Defence Division, and some of those traditions are still maintained to this day. In the present day the Navy is the nation's first line of interstellar defence.

The Planetary Guard Legions were created in Year 21 when One Nation Under Jou was declared as a sovereign territory to bring two separate military forces under the same command structure. The military of Vorsia Companion began as a militia formed in Year 11 from the Mandalorian and Kiffar mercenaries that were hired by Lilith Delcroix to help her secure the moon and establish the rule of law. Within the new structure the moon's defence force became known as the Royal Legion and retains some traditions influenced by the Mandalorian culture.

Before Morobe was integrated into Tion Hegemony in Year 18, peacekeeping on the system's planets was the responsibility of mostly corporate security forces employed by the various corporations that controlled the system. After the integration the security forces were amalgamated into a single entity within the Tion Defence Division to facilitate unified command under military leadership. During this time the fortification of Morobe began with the first Golan II stations being constructed.

Structure

One Nation Navy

One Nation Navy is divided into two main Defence Fleets, Morobe and Vorsia, which are further divided into task force groups to patrol One Nation's territories, facilitate construction of space infrastructure and fortifications, and to provide logistical support between planets.

Planetary Guard Legions

The role of the Planetary Guard Legions is to safeguard planets of the nation and the monarchy itself. Their duties are a combination of sovereign defence, ceremonial, close protection and general policing to maintain law and order. Each of the nation's planets has its own Guard Legion with an independent command structure, however, the legions are not restricted to their own planet and can be found to operate across all of One Nation.
