Aeranas is the capital city of Moroa, located on the northern coast of the Audela continent. It is the financial and political centre of the Morobe system, due to being the seat of power of the federal government and the monarchy of One Nation Under Jou. Within the city resides the monarch's residence, the Illumine Palace, and the Nightwell Cathedral, the center of the nation's religion in Morobe. The two landmarks were built on the opposing ends of the city so the first of Morobe's two suns rises over the palace and the last sun sets over the cathedral. It is a local tradition that no other buildings are allowed to block the sun from reaching the palace or the cathedral.

Most of the architecture in the city does not accurately portray how old the city is. With the rise of One Nation, many architects were hired to develop a unifying style to reflect the new nation and the city was extensively rebuilt, replacing the original foundations that were laid by the first colonists.
