Sienar Fleet Systems (SFS) was a ship manufacturing company created in Year 14 as a successor company to Damorian Manufacturing Corporation. Although it was founded by a group of former Imperials, it was not affiliated with the Galactic Empire and there was no connection to the original SFS company that operated as an Imperial contractor from Year 5 until Year 10; the name was chosen mainly to attract customers throughout the central regions of the galaxy where SFS established its shipyards and offices, operating from Morobe. The company was closed as a ship manufacturer in Year 17 and re-branded into S.W.A.T. Industries.
History
From its beginnings SFS worked in cooperation with other independent companies; namely Aurora Technologies and Rim Mining Guild. This strategy and stable customer base helped the company through its early period as it established a name for itself. SFS owes much of its early success to the first CEO Gredek Dregoth who was responsible for laying down solid foundations for the new company, and the late Director of Production Sirius Constantine. Director Constantine utilized his past experience with shipbuilding business to expand production hubs of SFS across several sectors and made it more independent.
The company went through a difficult period when in the latter half of Year 15, Director Constantine was apprehended by private SFS security forces for grave crimes against the company and was executed after his guilt was proven. The Executive Board was not happy that one of the senior executives would turn on the company but they took solace in knowing any major damage was prevented and assured the staff their security was not compromised. SFS recovered fairly quickly under the leadership of CEO Dregoth and later in the same year mining operations of Rim Mining Guild were absorbed into SFS's corporate structure; significantly reducing the costs of raw materials needed for their expanding production. After a year and a half as CEO, Dregoth stepped down from the position to lead Permanent Solutions. He was replaced by Ninian DeLayn briefly, until Raffael Goschmitt was appointed as the Vice President for the next several months.
SFS enjoyed a period of profitable stability until unforeseeable events severely limited Vice President Goschmitt’s time for his duties. To prevent any major decline in production and overall activity of SFS, the Executive Board sought a replacement and appointed Lilith Delcroix as CEO in Year 16. Under Delcroix's leadership, SFS continued to expand its operations, mainly focusing on production and sales of their exclusive licencing contract from Aurora Technologies. In Year 17 when the contract ended, the Executive Board decided to move away from shipbuilding and on Day 141 re-branded SFS's infrastructure to Special Weapons And Technologies Industries (S.W.A.T. Industries).
Special Edition Starships
As part of Delcroix's marketing plan to increase sales, three special editions of starships were sold in Year 16 and Year 17. They were sold in limited numbers during certain social events.
