The Honourable Service Cross is the third highest military award presented by One Nation. It is awarded in recognition of valour during active operations against an enemy, not to the standard required to receive the Cross of Glory or the Noble Gallantry Cross. The Honourable Service Cross is one of the distinguished awards that allow its recipient the use of post-nominal letters, and might warrant a noble title.
Description
The medal is a cross with curved arms of dark blue surrounded in bronze, and a superimposed bronze coin in the centre, featuring a crowned effigy of Monarch Lilith facing left, circumscribed by the inscription LILITH OF MOROBE AND VORSIA COMPANION. The reverse bears the name of the recipient and the date awarded. The medal is mounted to the ribbon by a bronze clasp with the inscription ONE NATION UNDER JOU.
The rectangular ribbon consists of a central black stripe, flanked each side by a stripe of grey and a thinner stripe of bronze, with an outer stripe of crimson. The ribbon bar carries a bronze cross device in the centre.
