The Galactic News System (GNS) is a galaxy-wide reporting agency. The Galactic Empire, as the largest government in the galaxy, can technically control the news posted by GNS but there have been no known efforts by the Empire to censor the galaxy-wide news.

GNS fictitious narrative

Between Year 25 and Year 26 a pirate tribe known as Son-Tuul released a series of fictitious propaganda articles with claims of establishing an outlaw stronghold in the Morobe sector. This narrative largely exaggerated the tribe's activities, which were no different from numerous other groups and individuals constructing space station hubs in the sector's deep space to benefit from One Nation's prosperity.
