The Order of Enlightenment is a chivalric order of knighthood. Members of this Order are known as Knight Scholars (with post-nominal letters KS), and are recognised for their contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service that benefits One Nation Under Jou. The chapel of the Order is located in Feur Vella on Talasea, where past and present members are listed, alongside their achievements.
Description
The badge of the Order is a jewelled cross with pointed arms, centre of each arm is dark green, each of the eight points ends in a rounded jewel, and four jewelled lily flowers are between the arms. At the centre of the cross is the allegorical figure of knowledge, which is also the symbol representing the One Nation's Chronicle.
The ribbon bar is dark green and carries a miniature badge of the Order.
The badge is worn either by itself on the left side of the chest below other awards, or at the collar. When worn at the collar, the badge is suspended from a dark green ribbon, connected by a ring suspender with a silver royal crown.
