The Exemplar Cross is awarded to One Nation citizens and military personnel for an act of exemplary gallantry when not in active operations against an enemy, or to those who have distinguished themselves by an exemplary conduct during service in the advancement of One Nation's interests. The Exemplar Cross is one of the distinguished awards that allow its recipient the use of post-nominal letters, and might warrant a noble title.
