Galactic Regions are the galaxy's largest territorial entities. These are largely cultural entities as opposed to political and it is believed they correspond to stages of galactic exploration and settlement. There are nine most commonly recognized regions; Deep Core, Core, Colonies, Inner Rim, Expansion Region, Mid Rim, Outer Rim, and beyond the galactic frontier is Wild Space and the Unknown Regions.
Majority of One Nation Under Jou's territory is located in the Colonies, but small part of it extends to the Inner Rim.
Colonies
The closest region to the Core, the Colonies were among the first to be colonized and have benefited greatly from this proximity, becoming a wealthy region full of industrial worlds, trade centers, and garden worlds. Culturally the Colonies are generally regarded as well established as the Core Worlds. One Nation's Morobe system is located in this region.
Inner Rim
The Inner Rim was originally just called "The Rim", as it was expected to be the farthest extent of the known galaxy for centuries which was later disproved. The Inner Rim entirely surrounds the Colonies and used to be considered to have minimal cultural influence, however, with the rise of the Hapes Consortium and the Trade Federation the region became historically significant and holds great strategic value as many governments inside the region are not part of the war between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. One Nation's Vorsia Companion is located in this region.
